Lincoln University


Establishment: Lincoln University is the third oldest university in New Zealand and was founded in 1878 as a School of Agriculture and in 1990 it formally separated from the University of Canterbury and became a university in its own right.

Student strength: There were over 3000 students enrolled to study at Lincoln in 2012 and around 1000 of these were international students from over 60 countries.

Ranking:Lincoln is New Zealand’s specialist land-based university. It was ranked in the top 500 universities in the world in the 2013 QS rankings.
